Our history…

Mi Life Care Services was founded in October 2010 and started trading in February 2011. The company was set up by Rahima Dakri, together with the support of her parents and a number of friends. She continued to run the business as the Managing Director, leading a team of specialist staff based at their head office in Thurmaston, north Leicester, until 2020 when she decided to retire.

Mi Life Care Services is a modern, well-equipped and thriving company, employing more than 100 professionally trained staff, providing care support to people right across Leicestershire 24-hours a day, 7-days a week.

Rahima set up Mi Life Care Services because she felt there was a niche in the market for a specialist care provider employing multilingual staff and able to support people from all walks of life. Indeed the name ‘Mi Life’ developed as an abbreviation of the company’s primary objective: “Making Individual Living In-home Forever Easy”.

Rahima also had a sister with Downs Syndrome and she was therefore acutely aware of the lifestyle needs for people who require extra support in life. Ultimately for Rahima this was never just about setting up a successful business – first and foremost it had been her intention to help other people and to make a positive difference in the world.

Since 2020 when Rahima decided to retire, Kushal Gandhi has taken over as the Managing Director of the Company. Kushal, along with his father Dinesh Gandhi, have a combined 40 years of experience in the care sector. They plan to continue operating to the same standard that Mi Life has always done, and to adhere to the same principles that Rahima implemented within the Company.

To this day the company continues to provide generous support to charitable causes and staff regularly organise fundraising events to help people in the community.

Mi Life Care Services is monitored by the local authority and regulated by the Care Quality Commission. For any enquiries relating to the company or care support requirements please get in touch with us today.
